Sheet metal stamping: the special even at low volumes

Low volumes

We also perform sheet metal stamping for low-volume batches.

Complex Elements

We mould components of any shape, even complex ones. This is possible because we own the entire production chain, starting with the design and construction of the moulds. In addition, we have a fleet of milling machines that enables us to carry out all kinds of machining operations.

Parts conformity 99% - 100%

Sophisticated measuring systems and the in-house production of gauges, combined with in-depth knowledge of materials and processing, guarantee a moulded part with precise detail.

All recyclable materials

We process the most widely used recyclable materials in industry: we perform a steel, aluminium, copper and special alloy stamping service.

Reduced Time To Market = on-time delivery

We have established a supply network that together with timely production scheduling and the support of an efficient machine park allows us to meet delivery deadlines.

We process large sheets

We are equipped with hydraulic and mechanical presses that allow us to machine even large parts with precision.

STA is the second largest manufacturer of moulded components in Italy.

Power and reliability for cold sheet metal stamping

Each stage of the sheet metal stamping process is carefully supervised by our technicians to ensure a functional end product that meets the required standards.

Experts in areas where reliability and security matter

We offer a wide range of moulded components for numerous industries where part reliability is crucial to ensure the safety of the finished product.

L’attenzione al dettaglio in ogni processo ci rende un partner esperto anche per settori dove è importante l’estetica delle forme e delle superfici.

Automotive sheet metal stamping: our roots

Over the years we have chosen to innovate and expand our business areas to address a wide range of sectors. Automotive represents our origins and remains one of our main areas of specialisation. We are partners of the most important Italian and European car manufacturers.

  • bumper attachments
  • front and rear bumpers
  • half-planes

For the automotive sector, we design, stamp and machine aluminium and steel sheet metal and perform a wide range of processes, from deep drawing to laser cutting, from assembly to painting

  • trunk compartments
  • shock absorbers
  • wheel arches

Full-cycle mouding: from mold to part

50 years of experience to turn your designs into reality

In-house we follow the complete process from mould design to delivery of the moulded, finished and assembled part.

We manufacture the equipment

  • customised mold design to make your part
  • industrialisation of designs received from the customer: we transform an idea into an efficient and reliable production tool while optimising costs;
  • robust and precise mold creation for

We carry out sheet metal stamping

  • Selection of the appropriate sheet metal in terms of thickness, metal type and mechanical properties.
  • Prototyping: thanks to our three-dimensional geometric design and modelling software, we quickly arrive at the physical realisation of the prototype, in line with customer expectations.
  • Material preparation: first cut the sheet metal into sheets or strips of a suitable size for the stamping process. Positioning in the stamping press and clamping to prevent movement during the process.
  • Stamping: we use hydraulic presses up to 1200 tons and mechanical presses up to 400 tons, to stamp and shape sheet metal according to customer requirements. We offer a stamping and deep-drawing service for the machining of complex parts. We also customise components using 3D laser cutting.

Focus: How is molding done

Stamping takes place when the mould is hooked onto the press and the sheet metal is placed between the two parts. The press applies considerable force to deform the metal to the shape of the mould. The process is completed by cutting excess parts or details, bending and punching to create specific holes and shapes.

Complementary mechanical work

  • We refinish with modern and reliable surface treatments (painting etc.)
  • We increase the strength of the component with heat treatments
  • Joining components by welding or riveting
  • Assembling into a more complex

Our print production

We produce stamped parts by cold forming of sheet metal and more precisely by deep drawing and incremental forming.

Imbutitura profonda: a cosa serve

It consists of the deformation necessary to give any three-dimensional shape to sheet metal. The applications of deep drawing range from the aerospace sector (production of aerodynamic parts, structural components) to the electronics sector (production of device housings) from the medical sector (diagnostic equipment components) to the food sector (food containers, cans and packaging).

Moulding is carried out with deep-drawing dies of our own production to guarantee

  • the creation of complex three-dimensional shapes,
  • the repeatability of component quality and dimensions,
  • accuracy with minimum tolerances.

Increasing shaping

This machining consists of the progressive deformation of sheet metal by small increments using a numerically controlled tool. It is particularly useful for obtaining complex shaped parts with maximum precision
