Quality control certifies the precision achieved at each stage of component production. We have state-of-the-art control and measuring instruments to determine the micrometric dimensions of the object.
We are equipped with 2 FARO laser scanners and a new 7-axis KREON laser arm. As an analysis programme we use PolyWorks Inspector.
In quality control, we also use gauges designed and manufactured by us.
The FARO laser scanner uses a laser scanning device to quickly and accurately capture the 3D geometry of an object. The laser beam detects millions of points on the surface, which are then processed to create an accurate 3D digital model. This is compared with the original CAD model to identify any discrepancies.
The information gathered can be used to optimise production processes, improve moulds and reduce scrap, as well as offering extremely high precision to ensure that moulded parts meet even the tightest tolerances.
Not only that. Laser scanning enables rapid measurements of complex objects, and returns detailed reports documenting compliance.
We check prototypes and first produced parts with our instruments to ensure that they meet design specifications.
Quality control continues at every stage: during component production, periodic measurements are taken to monitor quality and prevent deviations in the moulding process or dimensional defects, deformations or other problems that could compromise part quality.
After moulding, the finished parts undergo a final inspection to ensure that all parts meet the required standards
We are IATF 16949 certified and since we also produce structural safety parts we keep track of the material we use (a certificate accompanies the raw material purchased from our supplier).
Specifically, we keep track of the batch of each individual ‘plate’ (which is the pallet containing sheets of raw material), linking it to each production.
For some products and in the event of problems, we are able to trace back within 8 hours the batch of material with which it was produced.
Not only that. Each product we send to the customer carries the production batch, an identifying element that allows us to provide any necessary information as quickly as possible.
